A Sasanach's Skye photos

By Sasanach

A very hot day on Skye

Quite possibly the hottest day we have had in a very long time. All we wanted to do was doze in the garden or paddle in the river Varagill. We did both.

Mind you, I'm not complaining. It is wonderful to have such weather.

Here in this photograph I am looking northward towards the Storr. In the foreground is the mainroad bridge over the Varragill River; you can just see the river. Also you can see Portree with the Storr beyond aqnd the famous Old Man of Storr on the right of the escarpment.

We have hardly seen any clouds at all. Even as I type this the sky is a clear blue still. Cooler now though.
