JNL Baker Society Dinner 2015

This photo has, minus a few, the geographers at Jesus College, Oxford. It is missing a few students and also Ian, one of our tutors. I feel very lucky to be surrounded by such a great group of people and it's also lovely to know how supportive and friendly everybody is towards each other. What is great about being at Jesus and studying Geography is that, as you can see, we all have a wide range of people who we can draw knowledge on and also plenty of people we can get to know and become friends with.

The evening began with pre-dinner drinks on the balcony, then to dinner where we had an avocado and beef tomato salad to start, then a fillet of seabass on a bed of spinach and dill, and for dessert it was cinnamon and apple crumble tart. Delicious! All accompanied by wine and port to end.

One person from each year was privileged with the opportunity to speak about the rest of the year, adding in some jokes or comments that may have been unknown to the tutors or majority of the group there. Very fun.

Dinner was followed by drinks in the college bar and on to Purple Turtle. Wonderful evening.
