St. Mildred's

Or more commonly known as Whippingham church just outside East Cowes.
It is steeped in history and was used by Queen Victoria whenever she was at Osbourne House and her daughter Princess Beatrice was married here and after her husbands death in 1896 she became governess of the Island and commander of the Isle of Wight rifles 8th Bn Hampshire Reg who saw action  in Gallipoli, Egypt, Suez Canal and the three bloody battles for Gaza.
