Holding daffodils

At a 'new age' or 'eco warriors' camp today. Call them what you will, I just think of them as people who choose to live a slightly 'off grid' way of life.
They have set up a 'community farm' on a patch of land in Gloucestershire which apparently has a convoluted ownership, once common land,  now bought by a property developer.
So the residents of the 'farm' were expecting to be evicted today, and had built a marvellous 40 foot high tower barricade (think of something you might see at Glastonbury Festival...). I think this young woman was called Alice, and she had these daffodils to decorate the barricade. Flower power...
Nothing had happened by the time I had to leave to cover another job, but I hope they get to stay on a while. Initially a little wary of a journalist, turning up, they soon invited me into their 'camp', offering tea, and happy to chat. They were very bright people, just doing their own thing while they were young enough to do so. It's a shame a property developer's court action may well force them to find another place to live their own way.
