A red Nerine. Also known as the Spider Lily.
They come in red, pink and white and flower in the autumn.
 
I photographed this in the morning light with combined 31mm and 13mm extension tubes - for FlowerFriday.

In answer to several questions
- I took the photo looking into the sun to catch the sparkle on the mud
-I used a polarising filter to retain the blue of the sky
-I was standing on the stony edge so I didn’t get muddy shoes
-the ‘stones’ / ‘worms’ scattered over the mud are actually marine snails.
