Stamford

I have had a top day out with my buddy Alison wandering around beautiful Stamford and admiring all of the wonderful Georgian stone architecture.

As usual there was a visit to a Conservation Trust church and I found my first ever bit of medieval graffiti, the VV ritual protection symbol.

There was a hog roast, eaten in wonderful Spring sunshine, sticky ginger cake, three bookshops and a lot of looking up at the stunning limestone rooflines.

Stamford has over 600 listed buildings and arguably contains the finest examples of Georgian architecture in the country.
