Happy Lads

Today Mary and myself visited De La Salle Boys School in Ballyfermot, Dublin to talk about our work in Malawi at the invitation of one of the teachers, Niamh O'Brien, who has done three volunteering spells, with us, in Malawi.
Niamh herself is a legend in Malawi as a result of a training programme she initiated and worked on with other amazing primary teachers from Ireland, in co-operation with the Mzuzu primary schools District Education Board. Their work is over four years is now impacting about 25,000 learners, as they are called each day.
Of all the schools we have visited this was certainly one of the most friendly. The staff were so welcoming and the boys were so alive and interested, having loads of questions at the end.
We brought one of the pumps and this attracted great interest.
I will be back again on March 24, for a fundraiser they are doing, having met a group of parents who were so positive and interested.
Our sincere thanks to all involved
