An Uncomfortable Ordinance

Here is the youth room set up for the ordinance of humility- not humiliation, as some have quipped. Although I take the point that foot-washing is a confronting experience, much more than the bread and wine, which can be held aloof in formal gratitude for someone' else's subjugation.

We're going to Skyfire tonight. Given that I don't have a tripod, I'm counting on getting rubbish photos of the fireworks, so am blipping early.

Daughter has brownies in the oven. Bub is in the cot having a long nap (why aren't I?) and the boy is off with his father. The sun is shining, all's well here. Thoughts are with an old friend in Vanuatu, however. Hope she has managed the ravages of Cyclone Pam safely.
