Another Bog Standard Brush Off

Our last day in the Dolomites, and the weather didn't disappoint us. C's shoulder injury is improving all of the time, so we walked about 10 miles today.
This restaurant had been recommended to us. It was next to a piste and part way up a mountain, but on a nice easy path, so we went there for lunch.
What we didn't know was that there was a "Spring Ski Race" going on today, and this restaurant was one of the stages for the skiers to call in at.
It was very light-hearted with the participating skiers in groups of about 5 or 6, and all wearing matching silly outfits. There was also an "oom-pah-pah" little band playing, and the male staff were wearing leder-hosen (I didn't notice what the women were wearing!). This man's team were all wearing nappies and toilet brush/toilet roll hats.
We saw the team sporting plastic colanders on their heads, tied on with tea-towels again about half an hour after we'd left the restaurant, and they were skiing down the electric moving pavements. I think a little schnapps was involved.
A great time was had by all, and everyone looked very smiley with lovely sun tans and lots of teeth.
We're heading back home tomorrow about lunchtime, but have had a great week, even though it wasn't quite what C had planned.
