Pookie looks quite at home on the sofa - in fact I don't think she'd moved from there since last night. It's my favourite spot too.

This afternoon I popped in to visit friend Christina, who is just out of hospital having had her appendix whipped out in an emergency operation. Although she was under observation for more than 24 hours, by the time she was taken to theatre for exploratory surgery her appendix had ruptured. She is naturally very sore and woozy, so I didn't stay long.

At half time in their Six Nations match Scotland has a narrow lead over England, but anything can happen in the second half...
