A Journey

To most people this image would show a person walking along a country lane and you may think that it's in the United Kingdom.  One of those wonderful leafy lanes that you see in Agatha Christie movies and the like.

What I see is a strong woman who twelve months ago was battling to walk 20 metres and is now walking up to 4 kilometres a day.  A woman who has overcome incredibly challenging health issues and who loves life to the full.  A woman who has made a commitment and registered to walk in the 4km walk in the "Mother's Day Classic" in Sydney on the 10th of May in aid of Breast Cancer Research.  To me this is a miracle and I will be cheering her on all the way.

My friend is testament to why we need to support research in all fields of medicine.
