Damsel fly in the garden

Another delightful summer's day today, and much of it spent gardening. I was planting up a bed by the pond with some new perennials, and whilst working there noticed just how much wildlife there is in the pond. There are at least five frogs and two newts in there, and a lot of damsel flies flitting around.

I had just pushed a stake into the ground to support the perennials as they grow, when immediately a damsel fly landed on it and waited patiently to be snapped.
