Coquet Island

This was taken from the beach at Hauxley, the island is about 3/4 mile from shore and out of bounds to the general public, it's owned by the RSPB and they are very protective of the Roseate Tern, it's the only nesting place in the UK for these birds and there are only ninety four pairs left.

I wanted a half decent picture of this for my lighthouse project, I'm going to try and photograph fifty lighthouses or beacons this year and produce a book.

I'm a bit of a lighthouse geek as well as a cloud spotter.
