Ready For ...

Well, Granddad is ready for his pint of beer after a hard day but Emily is eager for some stories before she goes up the wooden hill.

Because we were staying in the Double Tree Hilton we were hundreds of yards from the noise of The Little Tykes waking up this morning. We got a lie in. As soon as we were ready we got Daniel to look after in the hotel's swimming pool. It was the first time we have been swimming with him and many years since I have been in a pool.

The good time with the children continued this afternoon as they played happily with us in the lounge while their parents made preparations for the return of the builders on Monday.

So, here we are approaching the end of the day. I've been helping with bathtime and we're both busy reading stories. I'm alternating between a camera and a champagne flute in one hand and a book in the other.
