Flame sky

I have been trying to get this shot right, as you can see I am failing, only having just started with a camera, trying to get you to see the orange night sky from the flare stacks, I'll give myself a D-.
Must try to get to shoot at night time, any help would be appreciated because its a beautiful sight and one I am getting bitten to bits by mosquito's trying to do.
