Beautiful Male!

Sorry but it's another Insect, but I have no regrets as this is the time of year that dragon and Damsel flies are on the wing

After posting a female Beautiful Demoiselle the other day was lucky enough to come across this male of the species at the local Lake where the owls are normally to be found.

I also managed this shot of two hopeful females eyeing up this male ;)

You can expect further insect shots over the coming weeks as the bird life concentrate on raising families and thus tend to be less visible
