You have to wonder how much longer the infrastructure can stand the increase in road use. A journey that used to take 35 minutes now regularly takes an hour or more.

The A14 forms the major link between the UK's largest container port and the Midlands. There are a handful of stretches of the road that no longer seem able to cope. My journey from work sees me traveling from the A12 junction at Copdock to the A12 junction at Seven Hills. This is the slowest part of my journey either due to accidents westbound usually on the entry to the Orwell Bridge causing rubbernecking....A regular occurrence. Or simply the volume of traffic exiting at Nacton. Either way the road on any weekday evening struggles to cope.

So the caution sign is usually now a regular occurrence.
