After the storm....that wasn't!

Have thoroughly enjoyed catching up with our visitors, and my second cousin (I think it is like that!) is an historian and is documenting some old family photos. We had a great time going through them and I was able to name a few of the family that he didn't know. The lake was too rough yesterday to go out in the boat but this morning it had calmed down and headed out at early as John needed to be back in Auckland tonight.
 
As you can imagine, with his "historian" background he was extremely interested in the Tarawera eruption so we showed him where the canoes had gone pre eruption, taking visitors to the Pink and White Terraces. Then onto Hot Water Beach.
 
With the moody sky, managed to get some nice shots, rather liked this one as we went around the island.

With all the issues regarding the future of Blip, have started writing my journal in a word Document, then just copying and pasting here.
