Irish eyes

My granny emigrated to this country from Ireland at the end of the 19th Centuary.
She had a hard life : six children in a two bedroom back to back house which she kept as clean as a new pin. She took in washing to supplement my Grandads income.
What I remember most about her was the twinkle in her eyes, even up to the end of her life at 86.
And what do you know? When I sometimes catch my reflection in an unguarded moment...there are my Granny's eyes staring back at me!
