Life is like a river

Arty-farty?

Backblip

Sometimes I get this feeling of being a bit stupid and "not getting it" when I don't comprehend the subject of art- and design-exhibitions.  I felt like this tonight when we went to see "Overlap" in the swimming pool in Barónsstígur.  A group of girls in special swimming suits and "floating gear" drifted artistically around in the pool, a constant stream of horrible music was (probably) meant to set the mood and organic vegetable juice-shots were offered as refreshment.  The graphic patterns and lights were the most striking elements of this show and actually quite pleasing to watch...for a while.

But this was just one of many other things we saw and experienced today.  The five of us had a really nice afternoon bracing the rain and wind in the center of Reykjavík where we walked down Skólavörðustígur and up Laugavegur to browse and enjoy everything catching our curious eyes.
We also had a chance to visit a professional photography studio and be shushed at in Harpa, where we talked too loud during a chess match.  We laughed like silly school-girls all the way out ;)
Excellent day!
