Heron and the Pow Burn Bridge.

This afternoon we took a stroll from Kincardine Bridge along the little back road from the new bridgeto the little rickety looking bridge over the Pow Burn then along the track up the Forth to one of the huge pylons which carry high tension power lines across the Forth. We saw skylarks, geese, gulls (of course), oyster catchers, curlew, ducks, great tit, heron (as above), swans and the elusive little egret. Once again that egret was incredibly shy and nicked off sharpish as soon as we got anywhere near camera range. It's big cousin, the heron, however, entertained us with a couple of fly pasts but my little point & shoot just didn't want to focus properly.
Elsewhere, the work in the house progresses but Rona is still a bit perplexed. She alternates between going up for a clap and a cuddle and then barking furiously at the invaders. Funny Pup!
