Wild daffodils

The daffodils in the woods at Hill Top are just opening in clumps all over the place.
They must have been planted when the beech woods were established for the estate owners some 200 years ago.
They seem to be completely natural looking, so maybe they do not cross pollinate with cultivated varieties. Which is a good thing!
