Mysore India

Now in India, where we are doing a two week tour of Southern India. We spent the first night in Bangalore had a fantastic dosa for breakfast and then travelled by mini bus to Mysore, stopping at various places along the way.
Today we travelled out of Mysore to see a very beautiful 800 years old Hindi temple. As we whizzed along the road we passed many rice terraces, marigold fields and banana plantations. The countryside around here is very lush and everybody is busy working in the fields.
On return to Mysore, we stopped at a fruit, veg and spice market. The noise was deafening and the heat stifling but the colours and smells were really heady. This lady was selling beautiful flowers for garlands and to offer to various gods.
Another masala dosa for lunch at the grand total of £1!
