Friends of the Earth?

Was in Bilston Glen, South of Edinburgh this afternoon. Came across a whole protest village in the woods. Maybe around 30-40 makeshift camps, some pretty elaborate tree houses with defensive measures, there was even a stage. They were protesting against a proposed by-pass obliterating the wood. Trouble is, that to fuel their hippy wood burners and build their abodes they have pretty much trashed most of the wood anyway. The site is a disgraceful mess.
