A full day of horsing and dogging (The walking hounds type of dogging ;)

On the way back home me and the idiots stopped off at Brodgar for a final zoom around the stones & Loch.

I've always loved lichen and I spent some time looking at each stone to find my favourite kind of lichen...The kind that looks like a map. But I now have questions in my head: Why does each type of lichen have a dark line around it? Does the dark line expand as the lichen grows in size? Does it attack the surrounding lichen so it can grow? And a load more I won't bore you with! Reminds me of the board game 'Risk'.

Now off to the moving picture house to see a filum with My Beautiful Man
