I never would have imagined that an online community would come to mean so much to me. And I also would not have guessed that I would have been so vocal, as I have been over the past few weeks (i.e. particularly in the blipfoto FB group). 

There is a lot I have read about what has been going on and so far the most helpful and important words right behind Joe Tree's note on Blip Central are included in this article by a fellow blipper who knows the business of startups. I cannot begin to imagine what Joe Tree and his staff have been through. My heart goes out to them. I am also a bit embarrassed about some of the comments I have made.
