The difficulty with predictions

Every week at ice hockey, four of us each predict the likely score, and put a pound in this jar. It hasn't been won for about 12 weeks. That's 48 predictions, none of which have been correct. This demonstrates that British ice hockey in particular is a very unpredictable sport. Scores can fluctuate wildly, whereas in football, choosing 1-0 or 2-1 would get you a result pretty regularly. Anyway, I won it on Wednesday with 6-3 victory of Edinburgh.
