Solar Eclipse

Ok, so, not the best photo but it had to be blipped as it's something I will probably not see again.

I hadn't expected to see anything as it had become quite cloudy but couldn't believe my luck when the clouds broke briefly just around 9.30am. I managed to take a few shots before the light became too bright to look at or photograph. It also became much darker on the ground and very still. Hardly any noise at all. Even the birds were quiet and a couple of ducks settled in the river just beside me.

In other news I have been fighting a head cold all week. I had thought it wasn't coming to anything then last night my nose started to run. I now have a full blown, heavy head cold. Joy!
