Was It Really So Long Ago

The sun shone all afternoon today, but for the main event, the eclipse this morning, the grey cloud was thick and persistent. The light in the sky dimmed, but beyond that, there was no sign of what was taking place in the skies above.

I very nearly missed the setting sun this evening, thanks to the evening commuter traffic. As I approached the White Bridge over the River Stour at Manningtree, the sun was already being obscured by low cloud.

It was a fine view for the end of the week. I'm looking forward to equally fine news on Blip's future.
