Spotlight

Super evening at the National Symphony, listening to Mahler's 9th conducted brilliantly by Eschenbach, who held us in suspenseful silence for a full minute after the last note was played :)

Tonite, I learned that music can resolve itself up, where bass notes meet up with trebles, and that Mahler introduced that. It feels dissonant at first, but it's actually quite beautiful. An evening well spent :)
