Lake reflections

The day has provided several different opportunities for blips.   It would however have been impossible, without stopping on the motorway,  to take any photos of the eclipse which was quite spectacular and easily visible through the hazy cloud.
Later we had a walk and picnic in the warm sunshine below a cloudless blue sky with the sound of dozens of skylarks while we looked across the Cotswold escarpment reliving memories of delightful walks.  I took many photos but decided eventually to post another familiar scene.
The blip shows the view overlooking the former carp fish pond of the medieval abbey which once stood within these grounds. For several years I loved to walk through this park on my way to the bus or shopping.  I loved it in all seasons – with deep snow and ice, with the spring flowers adorning the path, listening to the band on a summer Sunday and seeing the spectacular autumn colours of the great varieties of trees.  This late afternoon it was thronging with groups of youths sitting and chatting or quietly singing.
