Jermaine Grandison ...

A lovely day here in Shrewsbury, helped M with his paper round & we then went to get tickets for Shrewsbury Town vs Oxford United this afternoon.

Shrewsbury were ahead after only 2 minutes thanks to a Liam Lawrence penalty, Town keeper Jayson Leutwiler made two excellent saves as Oxford pushed hard for a first half equaliser.
Town's on loan defender Rhys Sharpe was sent off after 59 minutes for two quick yellow cards, before Lawrence scored again with a 20 yard free kick on 82 minutes. This did cause quite an argument between the Oxford goalkeeper and one of his defenders in a very poor defensive wall.

Not a great performance by Shrewsbury but winning at this time of the season is probably more important.

Jermaine Grandison is very popular with Town fans especially for his marauding attacking runs forward & multiple step overs :-)

Neil & Owen stayed to watch the remainder of the England vs France six nations match from Twickenham, a quite barmy game of Rugby before heading home.
