A place by the sea

Our friends L and T have just bought a flat on the seafront in North Berwick so today we caught the train east to spend the day with them, their children T and K, four other friends (P, S, M and S), and Milly the border terrier.

We began with coffee/tea and shortbread at the flat where we admired the renovations, including these tiles in the kitchen. Then we took a walk along the beach for lunch at the Nether Abbey Hotel.

At 3pm we returned to the station to catch the train back home to Edinburgh where Mr hazelh started working on his video instructions for non-programmers to use his program to back-up their Blipfoto journals (as described on my blog). The videos are now available:

1. Saving your Blipfoto entries to PDF (tutorial 1 of 5): How to open a terminal window
2. Saving your Blipfoto entries to PDF (tutorial 2 of 5): Check if wget & wkhtmltopdf are installed
3. Saving your Blipfoto entries to PDF (tutorial 3 of 5): Installing latest version of wkhtmltopdf
4. Saving your Blipfoto entries to PDF (tutorial 4 of 5): Downloading the save_blip.sh script
5. Saving your Blipfoto entries to PDF (tutorial 5 of 5): How to run the save_blip.sh program

Exercise today: walk on the beach.
