A Great Day

We had to be at the NEC horribly early this morning as LooseCanon was submitting his panel of pictures to the Royal Photographic society to see if they thought he was a fit and proper photographer to join their hallowed ranks as a licentiate. They suggested we got a cup of coffee while we waited for the session to begin, which we did, whereupon I threw half a cup of milk down my jeans. I knew it was warm in there and they would dry off eventually.
We returned to the hall and sat through a few nerve wracking panels whilst waiting for his to be deliberated cogitated and pronounced upon.
The milk dried off to a sort of yoghurt.
One of the panels was exceptionally good and passed easily, as did LooseCanon's.
On the way out we spoke to the other person whose pictures we had been admiring. She was very friendly and nice and we parted company.
The milk was slowly turning to something like baby sick.
We had arranged an informal small blip meet at One 0'clock at a certain meeting point. We met up with Chris of Chris and Annie, Helwild and several others, and the other person who had passed the 'exam' as it were. She turned out to be Chantler 63, who was there with Mr C63.So very well done to her to LooseCanon and to all the other successful candidates today.
The milk was definitely cheeesy by now.
It was a great day, we didn't spend TOO much money, I bought a camera strap, and a new lens cap, which ensured my lost one turned up at home as soon as we got in.
We're about to go to the pub for a celebratory beer with Coffeepotter and Nikonabike. I'll have to change my trousers because I don't think they'll like it if I rock up smelling like a ripe Camembert.
Oh yes. The photo.
There are several tunnels on the way to the car parks which have been brightly decorated with various underwater scenes etc. then they are further brightened by coloured lights which picked out this man's red top quite well.
