Female Jackdaw

Quite an impressive lady this one! She must have had a late brood of two last year? And all through the Winter she has cared for them on her own.You would see her come to the feeder come rain or shine and the two youngsters would wait in the tree above.Then follow her onto the roof where she would share out the food before returning to feed herself.
   The last few days,the youngsters have been feeding themselves.So at last she will be free to mate and start all over again.

 Quite a fascinating watch!!
