Cowes Floating Bridge

I had to travel from East Cowes to Cowes this morning to pick up some new spectacles from my optician.
Getting to Cowes means crossing the River Medina either by a 10 mile round trip through Newport or much more fun a ride on one of the few chain ferries left in the UK. Locally it is known as the floating bridge and clanks its way across the river for about 18 hours per day between all the busy river traffic.
This is the view from the Cowes side of the river, what photographer can resist a pile of rusty chain?
