Inle Lake boat tour

We rented a private boat and driver for the day, starting at 8am. It took about an hour to get to the first stop, but we got to see lots of fisherman on the lake en route, including the famous leg rowing where they stand up and row with one paddle by wrapping their foot around it. It means they have their hands free for throwing fishing nets.

We were taken to various workshops, pagodas and stopped for some food at a restaurant on the water. There are water streets like in Venice and it's all pretty touristy. The day was very long, hot and tiring but we got to see a lot of great things. I was lucky to get this shot as we passed this lady by in the boat. Gangster.
