Too soon

Yes, I know that spring is technically here already, but it's still far too early to be discarding your umbrellas in Belfast. 

As I was meandering into work this morning, there was a small posse of (I assume) university students setting up an installation of artistically-decorated umbrellas in a nearby park. On the meander home later, they (the umbrellas, not the students) were all blowing madly in the wind.

Given the amount of rain today, I'm surprised the umbrellas survived without being pulled down and called into action. Even with all the artfully-designed holes, they'd have been better than nothing...
