Progress of a sort

I thought it would be nice to bring everyone up to speed with the latest happenings on the building site across the road (only because I haven't been out all day and I couldn't pick an ornament to blip).

Keen fans of this turgid and dull series will immediately spot the shocking change of the gates from the left to the right of the plot and the relocation of the site office thingy from the front to the back. This was all quite sensible as it now means they have some chance of getting lorries in and out  rather than having to block the pavement and road with each delivery. That said the success rate of drivers reversing onto the site has been decidedly sub-par so far which has led to some charming horn and shouting performances on at least two mornings.

On a brighter note it was nice to see that Lonely the Labourer had got three playmates with him today. Two of these new kids had gone to the trouble of dressing nicely in hi-vis vests and one had even put his hardhat on. Really the other two have no excuse as there appears to be a dustbin full of vests just outside the office door!
