Olmec Civilization

Giant stone heads sculptured by the Olmec people are one of the many fascinating displays at the Anthropology Museum in Xalapa, Veracruz. Approximately 1500 years BC, the Olmecs settled in the low coastal areas of what are now the Mexican states of Veracruz and Tabasco.
The heads weighed 40 tons and some are 3 meters high.
