A close encounter

I had a surprise this morning when I popped out into the garden. It was cold but lovely and sunny and the pinemarten suddenly appeared. Managed a few quick snaps but it saw me and headed off pretty quickly. I went back indoors and put some more nuts out and it was nt long till it came back and I managed to get this close up through the glass.
It remained sunny until lunchtime but we have had several heavy hail showers from then onwards and it is now very cloudy and threatening to snow, brrrrr. We wo n't be going out with Brownies tonight so will be in the warm making sock puppets. Should be fun and hopefully we'll put on a show :)
