Teal

Just down the road there's a stream that floods most winters and attracts a wide variety of wildfowl - teal, wigeon, gadwall and even pintail and shoveler sometimes as well as the commoner mallard. In the summer the stream dries up completely - it is a 'winterbourne'. These teal will be heading back to breeding grounds further north by now.
