On this day .....

Today is the Feast of the Annunciation when we remember Gabriel's visit to Mary to give her the news that she would bear a son. It's also the Feast of Dismas, the Penitent Thief, when we remember the thief, crucified alongside Jesus, who turned to Jesus and asked to be remembered.

Also on this day .....

421 – Venice is founded at twelve o'clock noon (can't wait to go back again someday, fantastic place)
1306 – Robert the Bruce becomes king of Scotland
1807 – The Slave Trade Act becomes law, abolishing the slave trade in the British Empire.

And much less remarkably ... a routine day in the office & a meeting with a children's worker. But also a day of beautiful light and the promise of spring.
