Precarious!

After our adventure yesterday, decided to take it easy today, so swapped one form of torture exercise for another - borrowed bikes from the place we're at and cycled to Cabo Sardão, a lighthouse above some stupendous cliffs, which is famous for being the only place in the world where storks nest on sea cliffs - you can see one in lower middle of this photo. I got close-ups of the nests, and others that show the magnitude of the cliffs - this sort of shows both.

(Actually, I think the storks must be branching out, because we saw some storks nesting on cliffs further south, near Odeceixe.)

It was sunny, but the wind was very strong and gusty, and felt nervous the whole time we were eating our picnic, watching people get far too close to the edge of the cliffs...one gust of wind and... didn't bear thinking about.

Now off for a 3km walk for dinner - my bum will not take any more cycling today!
