Reasons to be cheerful

I was reminded yesterday that things could always be worse.  I took this in the spirit it was meant, little realising that it was a premonition.......
This morning Frankie was weight bearing and the swelling was more localised around his hock, this would be good news if it wasn't for the fact that he has a temperature.  Hopefully, antibiotics and anti-inflammatories  will sort it out before Monday.  Crusty (poorly as a puppy) has lymph nodes the size of cricket balls this evening, sore red patches on his gums and is drooling and looking very poorly - Vets in the morning.
My battle with Land Rover has stepped up a notch.....Is it normal to expect a twelve month period from when you purchase a new car until the first service (when you have 5 1/2 thousand on the clock).  I think so, Land Rover UK don't agree, they think it should be from the date of the PDI, in this case March 2014, nearly 4 months before I bought the vehicle.
The dealer that sold it says"Don't worry, it's fine, just ignore the service light until June"
The local dealer says "you must have it serviced now or the warranty will be void and the soul of your first born child will be stolen by the Devil"
Land Rover UK says "Get your local dealer to do an oil dilution test, if that's OK, it will be fine until June".
The local dealer says "Never heard of one of those"

To round off a perfect day.....we've been trying for the last week to access our travel insurance policy which is (apparently) stored on-line.  Each time we get an error message, so we phone the company, they say try again in 24 hours.  Today, we were told they had created a new account and that we should be able to access it in......yep, 24 hours.  I explained again that we needed a paper copy or risk being refused car hire in Cuba.
No problem they said, just get the Cubans to email us and we will send it through.  I asked if they could email it to me now.......no, they couldn't do that because they don't have access to it.
I'll try again tomorrow when I'm feeling more resillient.
Things could be a lot, lot, worse.
