A coat hanger

Found this on the floor of my wardrobe this morning as I was packing to come away. It is really a rather beautiful object; it has a padded handmade cover made of rose pink silk, with two tiny buttons for holding those loops you get on dresses and skirts. I didn't know it was in my wardrobe and guess it probably came over with my Mum's collection of wooden coat hangers. I appreciate the exquisite care with which it has been made. It won't be languishing on the floor any more!
