The Beach at Easthaven

10.8C with long sunny spells and plenty of cloud. Wind to to 23 mph with gusts to 31 mph..

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for our walk after lunch. We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. At Scryne we turned right and went down the road to Easthaven where we walked through the underpass below the railway line and had a wander down to the beach where a family was playing with their dog on the sand. The dog was in swimming too. It might soon be weather for Maeve to put a paw in the sea. The beach at Easthaven has been used in the past for launching small fishing boats, and there are still one or two very small boats in a small fenced off area near the car park but I have never seen a boat in the water there.

We came back along the cycle path, and just by the little derelict hut we saw a tractor just leaving a long and very narrow field beside the railway line after sowing seed. We came round in a long loop, heading into Carnoustie then up the main road before turning along for home.
