Obeying the rules

A quick trip into Canterbury to draw out the cash that we haven't given to the local Vet.  As you know, Cuba is a bit sniffy about dollars, credit cards, sat navs, gps devices, electrical items, food imports, and anything else that they want to be sniffy about.  They are also a bit picky about the state of the bank notes you are proffering, anything with graffiti or a rip will be refused.  I think the bank clerk enjoyed watching us go through the pile of money note by note, almost as much as we are going to enjoy watching the Cuban bank clerk hold each one up to the light and mutter.

Canterbury was slightly buzzing today, none of the lunacy that Saturday brings.  I liked this group of people sitting on the bench.  We have three girls glued to their phones, then we have the cool dude without a phone, who has to resort to fiddling with his shoelaces.  Then we have the woman on the left who has learnt the art of stillness.  Brought up in a world without mobile phones she doesnt feel the need to be doing something...she is comfortable in her own skin (just as well really).
