Cheating Companions

Terribly over-exposed photo (taken by boat lady), I'm sorry, but wanted to remember the two Dutch (not German) ladies we met - and kept meeting - on this Vicentina Route. They set off this morning long before us, even though I didn't do my Lent Bible reading, but when we got to the first habitation of the day, there they were. 

We knew it was possible to cut 4km off the route by phoning for a boat to take you across the Mira river, so this is what we did - much more fun, and more time to enjoy Vila Nova de Milfontes - which is where we are now.

So... walked about 70km in these last five days, seen the most stunning scenery, eaten amazing food, and met some super kind Alentejanos.

I am so grateful, and so sad it's ended.
