Dealing With Them

They’re hospitalised.

Anaesthetised.

Cut open.
(Inner errors rectified).

Then stitched up.

They come round
slowly

are offered toast
and tea.

Once we’ve established
that they can still wee
(some men can’t
and need a colostomy bag,
women are usually ok)
we send them on their way.

We give
an encouraging wave
as they set off on the road to recovery.

Glass doors close behind them
(Automatically).

There is a happy land
